Seven Peaceful Ways
Chapter 33:
The Journey Continues
The Mind Illusion is an immensely powerful hypnotic trance. Its messages are reinforced everywhere you go: on the news, on social media; on the daily commute; in the conversations you have with friends, family and colleagues; in the thoughts that your mind entertains. The consequence of this is to keep your consciousness trapped in a vortex, spinning you round and dragging you down into a low-energy state.
Occasional, one-off attempts at raising your awareness out of this mire, are not enough. Sustained daily practice is required. Reading a book that gives you practical tools to change your consciousness, is an excellent start. But afterwards you need to begin using those tools in your everyday life.
If the Peaceful Awareness philosophy resonates with you, your practice of the Seven Peaceful Ways will need to continue until they become second-nature. When your first instinct is to accept, surrender and let go, you know you’re getting somewhere. And when you respond to challenges with the thought, “This could be an opportunity and a blessing,” you’ll find peace emerging from within you quite naturally.
To assist you with this process I will be publishing a regular newsletter on my Substack account. These newsletters will be mostly short reflections and elaborations on subjects related to the ideas discussed in Seven Peaceful Ways.
At the present time, there are no plans to offer one-to-one or group tuition, although this may change in the future. If you have read Seven Peaceful Ways and you have a question or something you would like to discuss, please get in touch.
Thank you for reading my book. If you found something of value inside, I would appreciate it if you could help to spread the word by posting a positive review on Amazon.
